No One Can Really Tell The Truth Like John Walsh
HO! HO! HO! Santa will arrive by sleigh at the Neighborhood Council Valley Mixer with a sack chocked full of gifts paid for by Special Interests. HO! HO! HO! The joke is on the City Taxpayers!
“I don’t think this is right … it might be legal (not sure about that, though), but it sure sounds unethical and weird and strange and so much more.
I wonder what the “sponsored money” will buy the NC member …
Is anybody we know going to this one?”
Valley Alliance of NCs mixer December 12:
“They are looking for sponsors and gift cards and prizes for their party. I believe the sponsorship money will come from the money the city gives the Neighborhood Councils to operate. So, it looks like the city is paying for the holiday party! Is that what the Neighborhood money is for? Throw a Holiday party for Neighborhood Council members!”
Dear Friends and Representatives to VANC,
I have attached the invitation for our annual VANC Holiday Mixer on Thursday, December 12, starting at 5:30 P.M. Your council can still be a Sponsor of this event. If your neighborhood council wishes to Sponsor, we will add your council’s name on the program for the evening.
To become a Sponsor, please contact Vic Viereck at email@example.com or 818-985-9174.
Please distribute this invitation to your Board members and committees so that we will have a good turnout from every neighborhood council in the Valley.
Please note that space is LIMITED. We must have reservations by December 6.
Your name will be at the gate at the entrance to the studio on Radford. This is for security purposes.
The reservation form is attached to the invitation with information on how to RSVP.
Part of our evening festivities is door prizes. I hope you will contribute gift cards for restaurants, movies, and other items as well. You may bring them with you the night of the event.
I look forward to seeing you on December 12.
Jill Banks Barad,
VANC Founder and Chair
