No One Can Really Tell The Truth Like John Walsh

HUD warns LA that the DC Gravy Train might soon be de-railed! HUD Secretary Shaun Donavan informs LA Mayor Eric Garcetti that he is ready to pull the plug on low-income housing funding if LA doesn’t reverse itself by March!

ALERT 04

Back in DC, Obama Cabinet Member: HUD Secretary Shaun Donavan has just issued an ultimatum to the Mayor of Los Angeles Eric Garcetti that the DC Gravy/ Money Train may soon be de-railed due to the alarming paucity of financial record-keeping under the Mayor’s drowsy watch, as well as the shockingly out-of-control LA squandering of Federal low-income housing dollars coupled with little or no record-keeping accountability!

Garcetti’s first priority: Keep this scandal out of the news media at all costs to avoid personal embarrassment!

HUD spanks Mayor Garcetti; Then slaps him on the wrist publicly for good measure!

ALERT: This time HUD Puts the City on Final Notice:

$18.5 Million from President Obama in Federal Grants for low-income Housing is about to get chopped out of the City’s Budget in March of this year unless Hizzoner Eric Garcetti’s personally-appointed City Hall officeholder/puppets such as obscenely highly-paid termed-out LA City Councilperson, Ms. Jan Perry, who currently heads the replacement agency for the CRA , can somehow put a quick end to the bureaucratic turmoil surrounding the ship-shod handling of Federal funds here in LA LA Land … to the Fed’s ultimate satisfaction over the next few weeks!

ALERT 01(Photo Credit: Yahoo)

HUD has determined that the City is out of compliance with CDBG regulations in its use of the Community Based Development Organizations (CBDO) funding category. HUD has advised that CBDO projects, as currently structured, are not to be extended beyond the contract end date of March 31, 2014. HUD’s decision impacts $18.5 million in projects and is devastating to the provision of services to low to moderate income communities.

The City’s Housing and Community Investment Department (HCID) will be sending out notices to effected organizations with next steps.

Examples of effected groups include, but are not limited to:

·Family Source Centers

·Central City Neighborhood Partners (CCNP)

·Los Angeles Conservation Corp

·Youth Policy Institute
