How to Fight Back Against City Corruption How to Make Mega-Developers Bite the Dust – by Scott Zwartz

February 11, 2015

The series on judicial corruption continues. As long as the courts are pandemic with corrupt judges, nothing will improve.

I again provide the Link to the Federal Court which is fed up with California judges who turn a blind eye to judicial corruption. The corruption is not limited to just mega-developers. Rather, the Federal Court said, the corruption is a way of life and affects all type of litigation.

There are, however, a few judges who are not under the thumb of City Hall and the developers. That is why Target had to stop building at Sunset and Western Ave in Hollywood.   One judge, Richard L. Fruin, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge, Department 14 at the Stanley Mosk Courthouse, 111 North Hill Street, Los Angeles, California 90012 stood up to the corruption.

(Case #s BS 140 889, and BS140 930) That is why Judge Fruin ordered all work on the Target Store to stop. The violation of the law was too great for this judge to ignore. A rare judge indeed.

However, Hollywood faces a terrible fate – corrupt judges who are allowing the City to continue with the massive mega-construction mania in Hollywood without a new Hollywood Community Plan. These judges have become so mired and obsessed with covering-up a colleague’s $250,000.00 affair, that they close their eyes to the harm being done to Hollywood.

Literally, hundreds of thousands of Angelenos are impacted by this corruption, and once again, the billionaires themselves are being duped. The naive developers appear to think that anything goes without a valid Hollywood Community Plan. It’s a myopic type of “when the cat’s away the mice will play.” The flip side of the coin is that every commercial project since January 15, 2014 is illegal. That means that each and every mixed-use project is already in litigation with more other multi-million dollars lawsuits. That will cost the taxpayer as the City just agreed to pay the developers legal fees when they are sued. The Hollywood Plan Lawsuit, which is not finished yet, has aleady cost the City $1.75 Million. Although Judge Goodman was warned in March 2014 of the terrible impact his cover-up of unethical behavior was having on Hollywood, he ignored it.

The potential costs of the cover-up of unethical behavior, about which the Federal courts complained will run into the hundreds of millions of dollars. Not only will there be millions of dollars paid out in legal fees, but the developers’ project will remain idle because a corrupt indifference to the law permeates both City Hall and the courts.

More recently, on February 10, 2015, when Judge John Torribio, Department G Norwalk, heard about the billions of dollars of Hollywood construction which is now subject to years of litigation, he brushed it aside. (Anyone can go into any court room and listen to what goes on. Almost no news people bother any more, but this pushy “reporter-mucker raker” does attend. That’s why you get the scoops here at JWalshConfidential.)

You should tailor it to your complaint about a mega-project and email it to: Sharon.Gin@lacity.org and Sharon.Dickinson@lacity.org

After you submit anything to the City, then double check a day later to make certain it appears under Public Comment. Also, print out and save your email showing the date and time that you emailed it to the City. Email is best as it allows you to submit longer documents and it provides proof that it was delivered if there is no kick-back or demon notice.
